The girls’ U-13 and U-15 football teams of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, clinched both titles at the Chandigarh State Youth Football Tournament held at the Sector 46 Sports Complex.
In the U-13 category, the Sector 22 team topped the league with 10 points to secure the championship. Government Model Senior Secondary School, Dhanas (blue), finished in second place, while Dhanas RC-1 Club took third. In the U-15 category, the Sector 22 girls dominated the pool, earning 15 points to win the title, with Dhanas government school in second place and SpellVilla Club in third.
The tournament also presented individual awards. In the U-13 category, the jury named Khushi Sean Best Defender, awarded Kushi Best Goalkeeper, and honored Ekam as the Best Player. In the U-15 category, they named Piranjal Gupta Best Defender, Ritika Best Goalkeeper, and Unpari the Best Player of the Tournament.
